Lesson Task – Expressing Meaning

One of this week’s assigment is create a new word; one which has no dictionary definition and a meaning that only you know.

My made-up word is «scover» which means scoot over

I used the font «Prisma» to get a futuristic look and easier understanding. This font is made up by a sans serif typestyle with a repetition of five layers.

Here in the sketch you can see i liked the «V» type but i wasn’t satisfied with the layout so i changed the word «over» to read from top to bottom instead.

We also got to choose two words from a list to be creative with. I chose Inspect and slimy

This is the sketch for the word «inspect» with a few different layouts of the word. I landed on the one further down just cause it really brought the message forward with the «P» as a magnifying glas.

I Chose the word slimy becasue its a word you can play alot with and figure out some new tools to help you on the way. I used LinkedinLearning to find videos about the warp tool and how to use it, thats how i got the word the way it looks.
